National Events and Venue Hire Delivery Coordinator – English Heritage

You will play a key role in delivering a wide variety of events, activities, and venue hires at English Heritage sites. Working flexibly to support wherever you’re needed, you’ll ensure high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Whether taking the lead on delivery or supporting site teams, you will be a vital link between operational teams, central colleagues, and external stakeholders. Roles

Event & Venue Hire Delivery

  1. Plan, coordinate, and deliver events and venue hires, adapting to the specific needs of each site and project.
  2. Support site staff to develop and execute their own events and hires when appropriate, providing expertise and guidance when required.
  3. Act as the on-site point of contact during events and hires, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer experiences. Stakeholder Support & Collaboration
  4. Work closely with site teams, the central visitor experience and engagement team, and the venue hire sales team to ensure seamless planning and execution of events and hires.
  5. Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, maintaining clear and open communication.
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, performers, and clients to enhance the event and venue hire offering. Safety & Compliance
  7. Ensure all events and hires comply with health and safety legislation, licensing requirements, and English Heritage policies. National Events and Delivery Hire Co-ordinator Job
  8. Create and review event management plans, risk assessments, and safety documentation.

Administration & Financial Management

  1. Support financial processes, including raising purchase orders, tracking

expenses, and reporting on budgets.

  1. Maintain up-to-date records, including contracts, risk assessments, and event documentation.
  2. Contribute to post-event evaluations, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Equipment Coordination

  1. Manage the deployment and maintenance of English Heritage-owned event equipment.
  2. Ensure equipment is used appropriately and stored correctly, working closely with site teams.

Supporting Growth & Innovation

  1. Identify opportunities to enhance the events and venue hire programme, working in collaboration with the National Events and Venue Hire Delivery Manager, the Visitor Experience Creative Producer and Programmer and the Venue Hire Sales Team.
  2. Share feedback and lessons learned to inform future plans and strategies.
  3. Promote a culture of excellent visitor experience and customer service.

 

Essential experience

  • Delivering events and venue hires in outdoor, heritage, or high-profile settings.
  • Able to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Preparing event management plans and risk assessments.
  • Supporting customer service initiatives and managing client relationships.

Essential skills / Knowledge / Qualifications

  • Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and event compliance requirements.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint).
  • Able to influence and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Full UK driving licence.
