Football Education Casual to International Coach – Manchester City FC

The position is also available to UEFA C Licence coaches with experience in coaching diverse player groups who aspire to work internationally for Manchester City Football Education in the future (please note that a UEFA B licence is required for international roles).

The initial responsibilities of this role include session preparation, delivery, and review in Manchester as part of Manchester City Football Education. Suitable candidates should express an interest in working in international territories.

This position involves coaching player, team, and coach development programs, primarily on the pitch, with some programs delivering classroom sessions for individuals and groups from both UK and international territories.

The position provides training and development in MCFC coaching methodology and development pathways, along with potential career opportunities both in the UK and internationally within the organization.

Essential

  • UEFA B.  UEFA C coaches must be working towards their UEFA B qualification.
  • Experience in coaching in education, community, or club setting.
  • Higher Education and/ or management equivalent qualification.
  • Continued personal development with their local and national FA including safeguarding/ DBS check.
  • The ability to communicate informally and formally with coaches, players, parents, and key business stakeholders.
  • To have good experience in developing players of varying ages and abilities, including reviewing and evaluating individuals.

Desirable

  • To understand football development and the key areas that develop players of all levels.
  • The ability to work within a positive working environment, providing skills that may develop other coaches.
  • To be proficient in preparing and recording of documents to support the coaching, reviewing the project, and presenting to others internally and externally.
  • To have the interest, ability, and flexibility to travel when required to support international short-, medium- or long-term projects.
  • Youth coaching award or education in football development
  • To have the drive and ambition to develop personally with guidance of senior coaches.
