Ticketing, Revenue and Yield Manager – English Heritage

You will be instrumental in enabling English Heritage to realise the potential of the organisation’s new ticketing solution, Ventrata, to maximise yield and revenue at our icon and key sites, working closely with colleagues from the Income, Growth and Marketing and Operations, Experience and Engagement directorates.

Duties

  1. Responsible for the distribution and ongoing management of capacity in the Ventrata ticketing system and effective distribution of tickets between different sales channels, sectors and partners, e.g. online, walk-up, Online Travel Agents, travel trade and education, to ensure that ticket inventory is managed to maximise income yield and visitor numbers.
  2. Work closely with the on-site Stonehenge site team to understand operational functions and manage the impact of ticket yield management, providing ongoing and regular advice on how best to manage timed ticketing allocations to ensure that these are managed effectively, especially during peak demand times.
  3. Work closely with colleagues from the Income, Growth and Marketing and Operations, Experience and Engagement directorates to understand opportunities for growth at our other icon and key visitor attraction sites, supporting with adjustments on the ticketing system.
  4. Monitor and analyse group requests, bookings, confirmations, and completions providing regular reports and advice to the Travel Trade and Education teams to maximise group bookings.
  5. Fully understand the Ventrata ticketing system and work closely with and support booking and ticketing colleagues on the sales and distribution of tickets between tour operators and other group customers, providing regular reports as required.
  6. Work closely with the Travel Trade team to develop and implement strategies to maximise group visitor numbers and income streams, including leading on the implementation of the annual advance group booking arrangement. Ticketing, Revenue and Yield Manager Job
  7. Analyse data from the ticketing system to monitor past performance and identify future trends. Monitor visitor numbers and income yield against target and highlight issues which may impact against achieving maximum visitor numbers and yield. Report findings on a regular basis to key stakeholders.
  8. Provide recommendations to the Senior Marketing Manager on the most effective way of managing future allocation of ticketing inventory across all distribution channels based on past performance and likely future demand.

Essential experience

  • Experience of working with ticketing/booking systems and dealing with capacity in a real-time environment.
  • A track record of analytical success in yield management to increase income within a visitor attraction, performing arts/venue, airline, transportation or accommodation environment.
  • Experience of working within organisations with different internal and external stakeholders including finance, customer service teams, operations teams and suppliers.
