Housekeeper – US Embassy

The Housekeeper conducts U.S. Government temporary quarters (TQ) check-outs to assess for damages and any missing items and provides summary report to the Senior Property Coordinator.  The incumbent is responsible for replenishing amenities, stripping beds to remove blankets, sheets, making beds, replacing towels, putting away kitchen/bathroom/laundry supplies in the correct location, and for performing light spot cleaning.

The incumbent launders and properly stores items in the Housing Hut facility and transports materials between the Housing Hut and the TQs. Other responsibilities include rubbish removal and proper placement of TQ bins.  Additional responsibilities include managing requests for arrival and departure transit kits, including their delivery and inventory of items in the kits once returned.  The incumbent serves as an escort for vendors and contractors inside and around occupied residences as required.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:
All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a security clearance.

All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.

Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Education Requirements:
Education: Completion of Primary school

Experience:

A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in residential or commercial housekeeping duties as a member of a team.
