Cleaner – US Embassy

Cleaning duties in the Embassy compound, both indoor such as the Chancery and outdoor facilities, as per the daily/weekly schedule. Cleaning Government Owned and Long Term Lease properties following maintenance work prior to occupancy. Pre occupancy and end of lease cleaning in Short Term Lease properties. Cleaning duties in the Embassy, include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing of floors, shampooing carpets and upholstery, cleaning internal windows and all internal glazing. Reports to Maintenance Supervisor (Cleaning Services).

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:
All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a security clearance.

All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.
Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Education Requirements:
Education: Completion of Elementary school or host country equivalent is required.

Qualifications:
Experience: 1 Year prior experience in commercial/residential property cleaning

Skills And Abilities: A current full (manual) UK/EU/EEA driver’s license is required. Ability to safely and confidently operate a van (class B) in and around central London.
