Senior Account Manager: Offline Market Sales – Qatar Airways

Based in central London, you will be responsible for managing relationships with QR’s corporate and trade customers for our European offline region. You will engage in joint sales and marketing activity to grow the level and quality of QR revenue sold through these partners and drive efficiencies in the distribution process.

 

Specific Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain long-term strategic relationships with QR’s Trade partners, corporate clients and governments.
  • Contribute to the formulation and implementation of QR sales strategy to maximize revenue opportunities, reduce cost of sale and generate channel shift.
  • Lead discussions on PLBs with accounts.
  • Recommend pricing requests from Corporates/Trade and is responsible for individual budgets.
  • Ensure focus and activities prioritise premium cabin and high yield sales.
  • Maximize value from marketing spend. Manage individual expenditure budget.
  • Review QR sales data with account portfolio to drive revenue and seek out tactical revenue opportunities.
  • Develop tactical Sales and Marketing activity in support of sales opportunities in both Trade Partners and Corporate market place.
  • Provide regular market intelligence and feedback from customers and competitors.
  • Represent QR at trade events, promotions and sales functions, including supporting educational and familiarization visits.
  • Maximise sales opportunity/opportunities through value added partners i.e. Tourism Bodies, Hotels, Car Hire.

 

Qualifications

The successful person will have:

  • Relevant experience within sales and negotiating contracts, ideally within the Aviation/Travel industry.
  • A data orientated mindset- ability to spot and interpret market trends.
  • Proven negotiation and influencing skills in order to deal effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and (written and spoken) is essential for this role. You must also have the current right to live and work in the UK to be considered for this role. There will be some travel within the UK, Europe and our Head office in Doha as part of this role.
